Einstein once said, 'The distinction between past, present, and future is only an illusion, however persistent.  Time,' said Einstein, 'is not at all what it seems.  It does not flow in only one direction, and the future exists simultaneously with the past . . . '

Fresh from a successful raid into ancient Babylon to steal the treasures of the Chaldean Empire, Tom Anderson's team of Recovery Force Commandos is tasked by the President of the United States to return to the First Century AD to take the body of Christ from the tomb.  Success will mean the collapse of the conservative parties opposing the President's political agenda.  Failure is not possible because the historical outcome is known in advance.  Yet, something goes wrong.  Anderson is chosen by Jesus as the Apostle Thomas.  Carried along by the force of unchangeable historical events, the Passion of Christ unfolds as the commando team becomes entangled with Jesus> supporters and enemies.  Determined to fulfill its task, the team raids the tomb only to be swept forward to the future with a mission that will signal the final days of mankind.

A new novel by Tom Wyckoff.  It provides an unusual mix of two Genres:  Science Fiction and Religious Fiction.  It has strong elements of historical fiction mixed with science fiction as many time travel novels do.  It may be a little too worldly to fall clearly into the realm of Religious Fiction because it presents the world as a worldly place in which the characters are challenged by the circumstances they face.  The science fiction novel is strong -- a true, time travel story in which the time travelers are confronted by the inherent contradictions of time travel.  The religious novel is powerful with strong, worldly characters challenged by a personal confrontation with Jesus that causes them to choose to continue or change.  The time travel of the science fiction novel places the reader into a historical setting that brings the religious fiction to life.  It puts the reader into direct confrontation with the past -- a real confrontation of modern thought and ancient belief.  Don't miss this novel!!  You will put it down and think about it for weeks.

A short description might be "a combination of The Late Great Planet Earth and The Robe."  If you've read these, you'll find this novel a wonderful combination of the 'last days' or 'end times' from The Late Great and the 'we were there' atmosphere of The Robe.  Haven't read those?  You should.  But don't miss Resurrection Day!  It's a great story!
